The Museum Gets a New Addition

In May, the Allen Park Historical Museum received a 1890's Dr. Buggy as a donation from Duane and Fran Raichel of Davison, Michigan.  During a recent visit in June, 100 second-graders from Lindemann Elementary School got a first-hand experience with the museum's buggy during their museum tour.  Fritz Ferencz and Historical Museum Commissioner, Scott O'Riley transported the buggy to Allen Park from Davison, Mi after Mr. O'Riley located and negotiated the donation to the museum.  Museum Director, Sharon Broglin, and Museum Commisioners, Barbara Ferencz, Karen Kerezi, Betty Nixdorf, Cynthia Robertson all lended their Museum expertise to the touring Lindemann Elementary students during their visit.

Thank-you A.P. Dialy Scoop for supplying ice-cream for the second graders visit!

The Buggy will be on display during future Museum events including the Allen Park Street Fair in August and The Victorian Wake held at the Museum in October.

The Museum is located at 15504 Englewood Ave. Allen Park, MI 48101 (At the corner of Englewood and Park Ave.) and open weekly on Wed. from 1:30-4:30 pm.  FREE Admission....Donations Accepted.  Come experience History.
